Can I order a book via The Scarlett Letters? 

Yes! You can order any book you like through us. Simply email your name and book request to info@scarlettletters.co.uk. Let us know if you'd like to have that delivered to you, or to collect in store. ​

Can we run our book club at The Scarlett Letters?

Yes, we would love to host your book club! We're happy to offer our space for free provided you order your books through us. Email us at info@scarlettletters.co.uk to discuss!

Can I host another event in your space?

Yes, we'd love to hear from you! Our trading floor can comfortably accommodate 50 seated, and our basement floor will comfortably accommodate 30-40, depending on layout. You can find out more about booking our basement space or organising an event outside of our trading hours here.​

Do you have any signed books?

Yes! You'll find these with a SIGNED ribbon on our Online Shop, or visit us instore to grab one from our constantly updating selection. Look for the "signed!" sign, or ask one of our friendly Booksellers to point you in the right direction.

 

Is the bookshop accessible? 

After installing a ramp, our main trading floor is now accessible! We have a wide, manoeuvrable space with an even-surfaced floor. Our basement floor, however, requires you to go down 14 steps to access. We have two toilets in the basement, and there is also a fully accessible toilet in an adjourning building that we can help you reach.

We have adjustable lighting which is typically kept quite bright. We have lots of available seating. 

 

During trading hours, we have free tea and coffee plus snacks available to all visitors.

 

I've published a book! Will you stock it?

Maybe! For us to decide, please send as much information as possible to info@scarlettletters.co.uk. 

Please note that we are a small bookshop and aim to be intentional about the stock we sell, prioritising marginalised voices. 

 

Are you currently hiring more Booksellers or accepting resumes?

We are not hiring at the moment. If that changes, we'll put a call-out on our social media and via our newsletter - you can subscribe here!

Do you only sell books?

No! We have an amazing array of wonderful items, including zines, tarot card decks, notebooks, handmade ceramic plates, and more. We also have a wide selection of Scarlett Letters merchandise, which is available online and in store. 

 

Do you stock / accept donations of second-hand books?

Yes we do! Come visit us in store to see our full selection. Please email us in advance if you have a large donation: info@scarlettletters.co.uk

 

Do you ship internationally?

We aren't able to ship standard orders internationally but if you have a special order we are happy to discuss additional delivery costs - email: info@scarlettletters.co.uk
