About the event

Join us for a night of discussion for the book launch of Navigating Contemporary Sex Work: Gender, Justice, and Policy in the Twenty-First Century at The Scarlett Letters. We will be joined by various authors and editors to speak on the work, followed by a Q&A, and a group discussion on the future of sex work research. All welcome!

This edited collection brings together themes of gender, regulation and justice, considering them as complex, interrelated issues that impact the lives of sex workers throughout the world. The book combines chapters from academics, activists, and people with sex work experience, to provide an insight into sex work around the world.

The book prompts the reader to challenge assumptions and normative narratives around the sex industry and to think about the barriers sex workers face in accessing social rights and justice.

Schedule:

- Welcome

- Book introduction by authors and editors

- Discussion and Q&A

- Audience discussion on future of sex work research

- Mingling and general discussions!

There will be one free drink on offer per person, and every ticket holder will automatically go into a raffle draw to win a free copy of the book (three available!)
